Founded by Huffington Post New Zealand blogger, Getrude Matshe-Kanicki, the HerStory Women's Global Empowerment Circle has launched a series of conferences in 1,000 locations around the world with the intention of featuring speakers who have overcome obstacles and moved on in various aspects of life in successful, uplifting, empowered ways, in order to help inspire, empower and bring together women throughout the world. The South Florida HerStory Women's Empowerment Conference, chaired by Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Roselyn Smith (picture below), is thus far the only one scheduled to take place in Florida. It is thus far sponsored by its fiscal agent, the Coral Gables Community Foundation, The Williamson Family Fund and Commissioner Danielle Cava-Levine. Scheduled for December 12, 2020 as part of the virtual HerStory Women's Empowerment Global Summit, opportunities are still open for speakers interested in sharing how at times they have "made the impossible possible" as well as their business and community involvements. General categories featured will include Business & Entrepreneurship, Family & Relationships, Health & Wellness, Social Justice, Spirituality, and Creativity, the latter of which enables performer to also sign up as speakers. The names and topics of speakers will be announced locally and shared throughout the global organization for a fee of only $55 per speaker.
