Kami Guarino

My name is Kami Guarino.  I recently retired from a 20 year journey of public education and chose to pursue a new path theat would feed the passion I had for discovering the "excellence" within ourselves in a broader way with the hopes to have an impact on more individuals. As a past administrator and school counselor my focus has always been on the whole child/whole adult. I believe strongly in nurturing and developing individual's strengths in their daily practices, as well as cultivating resilience and embracing their and other's uniqueness and cultural diversity. I have always been intrigued with this work  as it aligns to my personal mission and vision.

I am passionate with what I do every day and embrace the challenge of shifting a culture. One of my most meaningful accomplishments, aside from having a wonderful husband and four children, was creating a School Excellence Team which was and still is the driving force to a positive school climate and culture. By filtering work through an equity lens, the team ensured inclusive excellence and equity by empowering individuals to reflect on best practices, their own culture and biases, relationships, data and social emotional skills needed for success in life.
