South Asian Women's Meetup in the Park
Overview
To wrap up the year, we’re hosting an outdoor celebration in the park, bringing together South Asian women from all walks of life for a cosy picnic-style meetup.
If you identify as a South Asian woman, then this one’s for you! We're building a community that you can lean on and in which you can explore your experiences as a South Asian woman in a safe environment. This is NOT therapy. It is a peer led and run community support group.
Instead of our usual café gatherings, this month we’ll spread out on the grass, share food, and enjoy relaxed, festive activities including chai, henna, and gentle icebreakers to help everyone connect without the awkwardness.
The intention is for this space to help us reconnect with our South Asian communities, come together, listen, validate and learn from each others' lived experiences; in a ZERO judgement, cozy environment. There are no age limits as we celebrate the importance of having different perspectives in our discussions. So, feel free to bring a friend or a family member - the more the merrier.
This meetup is free - just bring something to sit on, any snacks you’d like to contribute to the potluck (optional), and of course please register early so we can plan our space.
We can’t wait to wrap up the year with you in community, celebration, and sunshine.
Hope to see you there!
