Day 1: Thursday, November 9


Depart from New York (JFK) or Washington Dulles (IAD) for your South African Airways flight to South Africa.

Day 2: Friday, November 10
SunSquare Cape Town, Cape Town

Resting at the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic Ocean, sandwiched between the slopes of the iconic Table Mountain and the glistening sapphire waters of Table Bay, the exceptionally scenic city of Cape Town is in a class of its own. Some cities boast rich culture, vibrant nightlife, a cosmopolitan atmosphere and extraordinary architecture, while others boast breathtaking landscapes and extraordinary natural wonders. Cape Town, is lucky enough to be blessed with all of these attractions and so much more. With its bustling harbour, world-class beaches, top-notch vineyards, and its mountainous surroundings brimming with diverse flora and fauna, Cape Town consistently captivates the hearts of all who visit.

On arrival in Johannesburg you will connect onwards for your 2 hour flight on South African Airways to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town you will be met by your driver for the short transfer to your hotel. Settle into your hotel and relax after your flight.

For leisure travellers, it is beautifully positioned at the base of Table Mountain – one of the new ‘Seven Wonders of Nature’ and is close to Long Street, with its vast selection of chic restaurants and boutique shops, offering an array of daytime and night time activities.

Day 3: Saturday, November 11

After breakfast at the hotel, we will be met our your guide for a full day Cape Peninsula Tour. Begin by travelling along the Atlantic Seaboard past Clifton to Hout Bay and experience a cruise past the seals on Seal Island. Continue over Chapman's Peak to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Enjoy lunch at the Black Marlin Restaurant (or similar) before paying a visit to the penguins on Boulders Beach and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Dinner is not included on this evening

Day 4: Sunday, November 12

SunSquare Cape Town, Cape Town

After breakfast depart with the guide for a full day tour exploring the fabled Cape wine region. Your journey will take you through the breath-taking scenery and the historic towns of Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl. During the course of the day you will enjoy a two wine tastings and as well as a full cellar tour to gain better knowledge of the wine making process. Lunch is included at the Governor’s Hall – Lanzerac (or similar) on this day but dinner is not included on this evening.

Cape Winelands Day Tour

From Cape Town make your way out into the picturesque winelands visiting South Africa’s most famous wine regions – Paarl, Franschoek and Stellenbosch. Aside from the excellent wines the area is renowned for its food and is steeped in history such as the Taal monument, various museums and the contribution of the French Huguenots. There are also many attractions you wouldn’t expect to find on a wine route, from butterflies to cheetahs and pretty much everything in between.

Day 5: Monday, November 13

SunSquare Cape Town, Cape Town

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy the full day at leisure to explore Cape Town.

Day 6: Tuesday, November 14

Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge, Pilanesberg National Park

The Pilansberg Game Reserve lies inside a 1300 million-year- old volcanic complex and offers a wide variety of beautiful landscapes. Pilansberg is home to a great diversity of plants and animals, including the Big 5, wild dog and 360 species of bird. Being on the Highveld, it is malaria free. It has great game drives for both day trippers and visitors staying in the various camps. If you like to mix a little glitz and glamour with your wildlife, South Africa’s leading resort, Sun City, is only minutes away.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will be met by our guide for the transfer to the airport to board the flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, we will be met by the local English speaking guide for the road transfer to the Pilanesberg National Park. Situated in a long extinct volcano, the reserve accommodates virtually every mammal of southern Africa. The park is home to healthy populations of lion, leopard, black and white rhino, elephant and buffalo - Africa's "Big Five".

Overnight: Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge

Located on the outer rim of an extinct volcano lies Kwa Maritane, ‘Place of the Rock’.
Overlooking a unique granite dome is Kwa Maritane, Legacy’s oldest and most famous bush lodge, host to families, businessmen and delegates from all over the world. The lodge is famous for its hide and waterhole linked by a 180m long tunnel, its outstanding cuisine and the hospitality of its staff. Guests can enjoy a host of recreational activities including dawn and evening Big Five game drives in the tender care of our experienced game rangers, bushveld boma barbeques, golf and other recreational activities at nearby Sun City, or simply relaxing in the lodge’s beautiful gardens and restaurant.

Day 7: Wednesday, November 15
Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge, Pilanesberg National Park

Day 8: Thursday, November 16

After breakfast at the lodge, we will be met by our guide for the transfer to the airport to board the flight home.

Day 9: Traveling (Fri, November 17)

Arrival in the United States at New York JFK or Washington Dulles airports.

  • Traveling abroad require a passport valid for six months beyond their travel dates.
  • Upon entry into South Africa, passport holders are required to have at least one, entirely blank (unstamped) visa page (i.e. one side of such a page not front and back thereof) in their passport, each time entry is sought into South Africa. These pages are in addition to the endorsement/ amendment pages at the back of the passport. South African government regulations prohibit airlines from boarding passengers without the required blank visa page.
  • All prices are based on the rates of exchange in effect at the time of price quotation. In the event that the US dollar devalues, Sisterfriends On The Go(SM) and Girls Unplugged Getaways(SM) reserves the right to increase prices accordingly. Your final invoice will reflect increases resulting from currency devaluation.
    Make sure you are up-to-date on routine vaccines before every trip. These vaccines include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine, and your yearly flu shot.
    The CDC recommends you to visit your doctor (ideally, 4-6 weeks) before your trip to get vaccines or medicines you may need.

    Late payment of $100 per person is required after final due date. All late payment requests must be approved by management before the final payment deadline on your account.

  • You may pay in full at the time of booking. No future payments will be needed, unless you later modify your reservations.
  • You can enroll in our automatic billing, and relax knowing that your future payments will be made automatically. When you book, we’ll calculate an evenly divided automatic billing plan for you and you will know in advance the day of every month that your payment will be processed. Your initial deposit is due at the time of booking, and your future payments will be charged according to the schedule you see on your invoice. Automatic billing is available at no charge. You can opt-out of our automatic billing plan by sending us an email after you make your first reservations and we will turn off the auto charge component of your reservations. You will be responsible for making your monthly payments on your own and your reservations can be cancelled after missing more than one monthly payment.
