The South African Embassy and the America’s Voices Against Apartheid project invite you to a special Freedom Day celebration commemorating 27 years of Freedom and Democracy in South Africa. This year’s program, "South Africa Freedom Day: Celebrating the Year of Charlotte Maxeke and Honoring the Ties That Bind Us,” will celebrate the abiding bonds between South Africa and the U.S. and will acknowledge the countless Americans who participated in the global fight against apartheid.
