Sourdough Made Simple – A Hands-On Workshop

Love the idea of baking your own sourdough but feel like you just don’t have the time (or patience) to figure it out on your own? Let me simplify it for you.

Join us for a relaxed, hands-on workshop at our beautiful farm on Martins Creek Road, where I’ll guide you step-by-step through the entire sourdough process—from creating and maintaining a starter to shaping, proofing, and baking the perfect loaf. No overwhelm, no endless Googling—just real, practical skills you can actually use.

You'll leave with:
✔️ Our world-famous "Milly" sourdough starter (so you can start baking immediately)
✔️ Your very own freshly prepared loaf (made with your own hands)
✔️ My Super Simple Sourdough Recipe (sold around the world!)
✔️ A Baking Timeline to fit sourdough into your busy schedule
✔️ The confidence to bake sourdough again and again—without overcomplicating it

This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners, those who have tried and failed, and anyone who wants to finally understand sourdough in a way that makes sense.

Come, learn, and take home everything you need to make sourdough work for your life.

Spaces are limited—grab your ticket now and let’s bake!

Frequently asked questions

How much is this workshop?

Once you book in and pay your deposit via eventbrite, you will be emailed with banking details immediately to deposit your funds. $197 is the full price for the event, so after your deposit, $149 is due by April 15. Please contact us if you don't receive details on how to pay remainder.

What should I bring?

We encourage you to bring a basic loaf tin, a tea towel, measuring cup and a bowl to mix your dough in. Everything else will be provided for you on the day, including our famous starter, flour, salt, etc.

Is lunch provided?

We will be providing food at lunch time, and ask that you bring a share plate to add to the table also. Just bring something you'd love to eat yourself, and a little more to share around.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving around 9.45am, so you can get settled in before we start at 10am. We always do our best to wrap up by 3pm, but recommend you allow yourself some extra time, just in case.
