Event description

Description

Participate in a re-defining of what it means to be a culture changer in today's world.

First, we will listen to the compelling stories of four people doing continuous inner work to bring expanding self-awareness as the deepest source from which to then ignite and influence change throughout culture, politics, and our social fabric. We'll ask questions and learn about the challenges as well as liberations involved in their self-realizing journeys. What does it mean to pursue inner change when one has experiences of being sexually assaulted by their father, learning of a deadly cancer diagnosis, growing up immersed in a violent gang life, and leading a life of radical jihadism? Panelists reveal the emotional journeys that led them through the dark nights of the soul into a new way of being full of forgiveness, love, and a newfound recognition of life's interdependence.

Secondly, we will participate in a workshop that challenges us to shed the masks we may have picked up by society and step into our more authentic self. Led by Ashanti Branch from Ever Forward Club, shedding the masks we live in brings the philosophy of being the change you wish to see in the world into a direct application.

The event will be filmed and live-streamed. Join us in this ambitious pursuit to bring more of ourselves into the process of societal change.
