We invite you to experience The Blues Brothers like never before: an interactive live musical performance synced to film like the Hollywood Bowl "movie nights", where the orchestra performs the soundtrack perfectly synchronized with the movie. Think of it like a bluesy Rocky Horror Picture Show midnight showing -on multiple screens, with horns blowing, drinks in hand, fun costumes, old-school dancing, and so much more… we'll all be on a mission from God!
About the Movie:
The Blues Brothers is a beloved 1980 American musical comedy directed by John Landis starring John Belushi as "Joliet" Jake Blues and Dan Aykroyd as his brother Elwood. The characters were developed from the popular recurring musical sketch "The Blues Brothers" on Saturday Night Live in 1976. The film is set in and around Chicago, and features musical performances by iconic R&B, soul, and blues singers James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and John Lee Hooker.
About the Performers:
This band is modeled after the 11-piece soul review-style horn band from the film and features some of LA's top musicians performing in perfect synchronization with the film, immersing the viewer in a live and interactive experience unlike any other!
