Event description

Description

Join Something Beautiful + Paige Trisko for a night of relaxation as you enjoy being bathed in a sound bath :) This is sure to leave you feeling centered and relaxed and could probably leave you with the best sleep you've ever had after this experience!

Space is limited, so pre-registration is required.

** What is a sound bath? **
A sound bath is a gentle, yet powerful, experience for the mind and body. It is a meditation technique using improvised noises to help participants release stress. The aim is to invite deep rest and relaxation, and explore self-inquiry.

Essentially you will be submerged in sound. Doesn't that sound blissful!?! Like other meditation techniques, sound baths are meant to mentally and physically rest you. In place of repeating a mantra or focusing on a single object, you lay down with your eyes closed and allow the various, unexpected sounds to help you relax and reach a state of awareness.

** What to expect **
The evening will begin and end with a brief silent meditation. No meditation experience is necessary; simply show up and find a comfortable resting position and let the sounds bath you! The studio has a few mats, blankets and cushions but please also feel free to bring your own. You can either lay down or sit in a seated position for the experience. Chairs will be available.

** Who is Paige? **

Paige's students and clients describe her as a peace warrior and she brings this passion into her classes which range from exploring laughter to learning more about vulnerability and self healing. During sound baths with Paige, breath awareness, guided relaxation and sound are incorporated to encourage her students to explore their bodies and minds to connect to their souls and heartfelt desires.

Music has been integral to Paige's life since she was a toddler learning Suzuki method violin and has studied music for over 20 years. Paige sees music as one aspect that makes us uniquely human. Sound has been crucial to humanity in both development of people physically and psychologically from the times of sound and vibration assisting in survival to sound becoming a deeper understanding of emotional connection within our lives. The intention of sound baths with Paige is to help individuals relax, meditate, and offer individuals space to heal emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Sound healing, or sound bath, is not a new phenomena, but has ancient roots across cultures from ancient Greeks to Aboriginals to Tibetans and have been growing in popularity more recently showing up at music festivals and yoga studios across the country. The intention of these contemporary concerts is to help relax, meditate, and offer individuals space to heal emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

The ambient tones created with the instruments during Paige's sound sessions are intentionally used to connect to creativity within humans and enable people to pause in the busyness of everyday and instead take a moment to receive.

The vibrations assist in stress reduction and have the ability to alter consciousness by creating a deep sense of peace, well being, and health.

Sound healing has also been shown to be effective in physical healing including cancer, arthritis and autoimmune disease through reduction of stress and aiding in pain management by moving the frequency of brain waves into frequencies inducing deep meditative and peaceful states to promote healing.

During your session expect to be welcomed by Paige with a brief discussion about anything coming up for you or questions you have prior to the practice. Sound healing is received resting on a padded mat unless you request a table for your treatment.

Many responses occur during sound healing ranging from strong emotions to deep sleep and even dreams. Individuals have reported feeling different frequencies in different areas of their bodies, while still others say they simply feel more relaxed. Any and all responses are appropriate.
