Event description
This is a Special Event - Guided Meditation with Sound Bath for Cancer, PTSD, and Parkinson’s Patients

About this Event

This is a special event for people who have Cancer, Parkinson’s or PTSD.

I went to a presentation by Dr. Sherri Livengood on “Sound as a Neurotherapeutic Treatment for Coma, Parkinson’s and PTSD. She is an auditory neuroscientist and study sound therapy for traumatic brain injury (TBI) at Hines VA and Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine.

She has some very exciting finding on how sound and vibrations can benefit people with Coma, Parkinson’s and PTSD. She would like to get feedback from sound therapists who have provided sound healing services to people with those conditions.

Therefore, I am offering a FREE group Sound Bath for Cancer, Parkinson’s, and PTSD Patients. Come experience the magic of sound and vibrations from Tibetan singing bowls that help you to relax your body and mind in an amazing way. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

*******************

Feel stressed, anxious or even depressed? Having trouble sleeping? Can’t relaxed or stay calm?

Try Sound Bath!!!! Some people unwind with a long bubble bath or a glass of wine. Others prefer a sound bath session. Group Sound Bath is a great way to get a taste of what Tibetan singing bowls can do and how your body reacts, reflect, and respond. It allows the vibrations pass through our bodies, release blockages, quite the mind, and balance the energies.

Though many people have only recently heard of sound baths, the use of music for healing is nothing new. From Tibetan singing bowls to Aboriginal didgeridoos, music has been used for its therapeutic effects for thousands of years. The ancient Greeks used sound vibration to aid in digestion, treat mental disturbance, and induce sleep, and even Aristotle's De Anima detailed how flute music could purify the soul.

A sound bath experience is helpful for anyone who wants to give themselves a moment of relaxation or gain the benefits from meditation, but has not yet learned how to access on their own. Meditating with singing bowls reduces blood pressure more than meditation alone, according to the Human Activation Science. It gives you the opportunity to go inward on your own terms. People often feel like they are being submerged in sound, like the sound waves created by the Tibetan singing bowls are a visceral thing and they are washed in waves of water.

By using particular combinations of rhythms and frequencies, it is possible to shift our normal beta state (alert, concentrating, reacting) to an alpha (creative, relaxed), and even theta (meditative state) and delta (deep sleep; where restoring and healing can occur). This relaxes state allows the body to repair itself instead of responding to outside concerns. The immune system is at its best when we are relaxed.

Those who undergo a state of deep relaxation often report a feeling of mental freshness that they carry with them after the session is over.
