Event description
SoulKiss Theater with support from The Old Globe invites you to an evening of readings of short plays written by and for queer Black womxn.

About this event

What happens in a SoulKiss Theater playwriting workshop?

Every week, we get together, cheer each other on, lift each other up, center our own stories, and get the tools to write a ten-minute play in a space where we can be as free and Black and queer as we want.

Welcome to the culmination of 10 weeks of encouragement, support, creative expression, and a little structure so playwrights (both new and experienced) can focus and get a story on the page.

Join us as professional actors perform a live zoom reading of six new 10-minute plays that have come out of this communal affirmation space. Featuring playwrights Casj Young, COLORADO, Dwan Miller, Maharani Peace, Rhonda Kennedy and Von.

Friday, April 30 at 7pm PST . Followed by a talkback with the playwrights.

Thank you to our sponsor and partner The Old Globe.

Thank you to Subaru of El Cajon, sponsor for Community Voices in 2021.
