This event starts off with a potluck dinner, followed by soul line dancing facilitated by Ifasina T L Clear. This is a FUN(D)RAISER to bring people together from within UUCB and beyond, to build relationships, to build community. Please bring a dish to share that serves 8-10 people.

Donations accepted at door ($20/slidingscale) — no one turned away for lack of funds.

Ifasina centers people of size and people with disabilities, so some may be dancing standing, while others are seated—-ALL welcome and inclusive. She encourages movement and joyful body engagement.

Ifasina TaMeicka L. Clear is a Spiritual Coach, Body Positive Coach, and Community Educator. She is a certified Usui Reiki Level 1 practitioner and Level 2/Master Level studies student of Master Reiki Teacher Bah’Dori Oyanna, Atlanta Georgia. Ifasina is an ordained interfaith minister and a spiritual artist who believes deeply in the sovereignty of creation and the sacred act of honoring one’s inner wisdom.

Ifasina: "The All Bodies Centered (ABC) Soul Line Dance/Afrobeat Dance class is a dance space that centers community, access, and JOYFUL MOVEMENT. In this dance space, facilitated by Ifasina, participants of all body experiences including big bodied, curvy, plus size, BBW/BHM, fat and ALL ranges of larger body sizes, people with disabilities and people with chronic illness, pain, and other bodily challenges that make movement spaces difficult and often unsafe, are celebrated and invited in rather than counted out. This class has seated modifications and modifications for varying ranges of motion for current Soul Line Dances and some that have been around for years! The AfroBeat Cardio portion allows for some "moving meditation" style dancing that is sure to help you GET EMBODIED through JOYFUL MOVEMENT!"
