Event description

Description

In honor of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, we are bringing together therapists of color in an experience that will expose people of color to different forms of therapy and open a forum for seeking help.

Join a mental health roundtable with:

  • Romain Diaz (Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, DMT, LPC) — Romain is the Clinical Supervisor or Adolescent Partial Program, in her private practice, focuses on verbal psychotherapy, dance/movement therapy and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) techniques with kids, adults, families and couples.

  • Marvin A. Toliver (Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LSW)— With specialties in trauma, PTSD, racial identity and men’s issues, Marvin works to walk alongside you on your journey — exploring your awareness and identifying obstacles that may hinder success.

Alongside this interactive discussion, you will:

  • Learn about how to get started with mental health services — through your insurance and otherwise
  • Create your own DIY aromatherapy roller ball
  • Practice meditation techniques in the "Calm Corner"
  • Enjoy light refreshments

If you have questions, please email indiesoulglow@gmail.com!
