Description
In honor of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, we are bringing together therapists of color in an experience that will expose people of color to different forms of therapy and open a forum for seeking help.
Get to know the following mental health professionals:

Romain Diaz (Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, DMT, LPC) — Romain is the Clinical Supervisor of Adolescent Partial Program at FBHS, and in her private practice she focuses on verbal psychotherapy, dance/movement therapy and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) techniques with kids, adults, families and couples.

Marvin A. Toliver (Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LSW)— With specialties in trauma, PTSD, racial identity and men’s issues, Marvin works to walk alongside you on your journey — exploring your awareness and identifying obstacles that may hinder success.]]

Sharifa D. Martin - She is a Student Assistance Program Assessor at CORA SERVICES & she works in schools in the Philadelphia School District. Sharifa has an extensive background in criminal justice. She started her career at Center City Crime Victim Services, as a victim advocate for the 9th police district. Eventually, Sharifa was promoted to Court Advocate & she helped crime victims awaiting their preliminary hearings at the Juanita Kidd Stout Center for Criminal Justice. Sharifa later became an Outpatient Individual/ group therapist at the Joseph J. Peter’s Institute - Safety & responsibility program. She worked with adult and youths mandated to treatment through the criminal justice system. Sharifa’s role later transitioned to group therapist at the JJPI- Partial-Hospitalization program.
