James Montgomery with Barry Goudreau (former lead guitarist for Boston) and the Sax Attack Horn Band:

When blues legend James Montgomery plays the harmonica, he "brings it on home". Whether it's recording with Kid Rock, sitting in with Gregg Allman, or fronting his hot band of thirty years, Montgomery plays with authority. While growing up in Detroit he learned first-hand from the masters - James Cotton, John Lee Hooker, and Jr. Wells - at the legendary "Chessmate." Over the years, he's carried on in the tradition and continues to be a vital presence in Blues as one of the most dynamic performers on the scene.

James has recorded six albums. His first, "First Time Out" has been remastered and re-released by MRG/Capricorn. Other include "James Montgomery Band" on Island Records which was number nine on Billboard's national playlist, "Duck Fever" with members of the David Letterman Band, "Live Trax," with the Uptown Horns (the Rolling Stones' horn section), and his release on Tone-Cool, "The Oven Is On."

Montgomery has toured with many major artists, including Aerosmith, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, the Allman Brothers, Steve Miller and others. He has jammed on stage with B.B.King, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Jr. Wells, James Cotton, Charlie Daniels, Bonnie Raitt, Greg Allman, Laverne Baker, Patti LaBelle, and Peter Wolf among others, including an impromptu session with Mick Jagger at New York's "Trax".

Barry Goudreau:

As a former member of the multi-platinum selling band BOSTON, Barry played on their first two albums, Boston, and Don’t Look Back. When released, Boston, was the fastest selling debut album of all time. Both albums landed on the top of the, Billboard POP Charts, with Boston, reaching #3 and Don’t Look Back, reaching #1. Barry’s musical career continued after BOSTON, going on to form Orion the Hunter, RTZ, and releasing two records with Brad Delp.

Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers:

Erin Harpe has been called “one of the most dynamic, talented and exciting roots rocking blues women on the scene” by Living Blues Magazine. Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, her Boston Music Award-winning band, just released their second full-length album entitled BIG ROAD – out on VizzTone! The self-produced album highlights Erin’s diverse influences, from her roots in acoustic delta and piedmont blues, to her electric side – slide guitar, boogie blues, funk, and soul

“The Delta Swingers pull out all the stops with a decidedly old-school, raw-edged core and confidence that make this album easily an essential release. If you’ve yet to try this lady, you’re in for a treat with ‘Big Road’.” –Blues Magazine (NL)

“A guitar slinger for modern times. Easily Bonnie Raitt on modern performance enhancing drugs, Harpe is blues mama for our times.” –Chris Spector, Midwest Record

August First:

Enjoy the sounds of Blues-Grassicana!!

August First is a Massachusetts based project that celebrates the many musical incarnations of Jerry Garcia and more. These musicians found themselves particularly drawn to the stylings of Jerry and David Grisman. August First is an acoustic arrangement, full in sound, and layered with sweet harmonies. They are not your typical tribute band; playing traditionals, originals, bluegrass, classic rock, and blues defining their style as Blues-Grassicana. Come celebrate the many musical lives of Jerry Garcia and more with August First.
