Description

This two-day training is for people who have taken the Recovery Coach Academy and Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches and who have started the practice of recovery coaching.

Please note: Succesful completion of CCAR Recovery Coach Academy and CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches are required to register for this class


Friday Feb 22nd and Saturday Feb 23rd, 2019 8:30am - 4pm

Reduce Registration Fees for SOS Recovery Community Org Coaches/Volunteers as well as Volunteers or Staff of SOS

This class has been pre-approved by the NH Board of Alcohol and other Drug Abuse Professionals for 12 CEU's: CRSW 1-4, LADC/MLADC 3,4,5,6, 7, 11, 13, 15 & 18

The emphasis will be on further development of coaching skills such as active listening, asking good questions and managing our own recovery issues. Topics will also include appropriate self-disclosure,navigating the first five sessions with a recoveree and trauma informed coaching. Time will be allotted to both discuss and practice coaching skills.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to

  • Self-access coaching skills

  • Discuss and practice active listening and asking good questions

  • List several tasks to be accomplished in the first five sessions with a recoveree

  • Discuss appropriate storytelling and self-disclosure

  • List several components of trauma informed coaching
