Description

The Problem:

  • Millions of people around the world have little to no access to health care
  • Medical providers in developing world countries work without gauze, gloves, suture, surgical instruments, bio-tech equipment
  • U.S. healthcare sends an estimated 6 billion tons of useable medical supplies and equipment to landfills each year

The Solution:

  • Collect useable medical supplies and equipment before they hit the landfills
  • Distribute useable medical supplies and equipment to providers worldwide
  • Volunteer for Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach


Volunteers help sort, count, and package medical supplies in order to prepare them for shipment to partner hospitals in more than 87 countries around the world.


Volunteer Requirements:

  • must be age 13 or older
  • requires standing (no sit-down jobs)
  • tolerance to warehouse temperatues (dress in layers during colder months)
  • wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing
