Organizer Flyaway Productions

Organizer of Sorry | Please | No

Founded in 1996 by Jo Kreiter, Flyaway Productions' mission supports the integration of experimental dance forms with political content; the uplift of women artists, where women's voices remain an underserved element of public culture; and the use of spectacle/flight/suspended apparatus to expand choreographic language. We offer performance as a medium for social commentary and choose projects that advance female empowerment in the public realm. At its core, our work explores the female body– its tumultuous expressions of strength and fragility.

Sorry | Please | No, is part of The Decarceration Trilogy: Dismantling the Prison Industrial Complex One Dance at a Time (2017-2023) a series of free, public performances, events, and deep conversations that expose the devastating effects of prison on American citizens.
