Availability of medical information on the Internet has changed the Physician-Patient relationship forever. Consumers are savvier and seek health information before seeing their physician. Sometimes they are fed misinformation from dubious sources on the Internet. Engaging with patients in their total health and well-being can be rewarding and can lead to better health outcomes.

Dr. Harbour serves as the Chief Medical Officer of ConnectWell, a public-private partnership with the University of California Berkeley School of Public Health, providing leading-edge digital health and wellness content that is academically sourced, evidence-based and designed for patients. He practices HIV/AIDS medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. He served on the faculty at both Harvard Medical School and Stanford University School of Medicine. His experience spans across the globe from treating AIDS and tuberculosis patients in Tanzania to working as an Executive Director at Merck to working at the World Health Organization in Geneva.
