Vic Lanio l Principal at Flare Capital Partners

Prior to joining Flare Capital, Vic was a Product Strategy Manager at naviHealth, responsible for enterprise product strategy during the integration of legacy naviHealthCuraspanand RightCare businesses. Previously, Vic was a manager at McKinsey & Company serving healthcare providers. He focused primarily on health system strategy within the context of the Affordable Care Act and the transition to value-based care models. Out of college, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Health Industries Advisory Practice, focusing on operational improvement, revenue cycle, and personalized medicine.  He also helped launch and served as the President and Executive Board Chair of Boston Young Healthcare Professionals, a 501(c)(3) organization aimed at providing educational, networking and community service opportunities for young healthcare professionals in Boston.

​Vic obtained his B.S. from Boston College, with majors in Physics and Finance. He also obtained his M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management. While completing his M.B.A., he worked concurrently with CuraspanWellframe and was a Flare Capital Scholar. He also co-Directed the inaugural MIT Healthcare Innovations Prize, a pitch competition for health tech entrepreneurs in Boston.

Curtis R. Sprouse | President and CEO / EurekaConnect

Curtis has an extensive experience with Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Health Care Related Software and Device Companies. Early and middle stage life sciences entrepreneur with significant track record raising capital, building life science/technology driven businesses, creating significant value, and setting the stage for investor exit. Creative, conceptual thinker with ability to communicate vision and mission, select and energize a team, and consistently hit milestones. Curtis prefers situations aimed at large underserved markets, with the first institutional capital in the company and technical proof of concept established.


Rand Brenner - CEO Licensing Consulting Group

Rand Brenner is CEO of Licensing Consulting Group (LCG), an intellectual property management and licensing company specializes in assisting startups and small to mid- size businesses strategically use their intellectual property to generate revenues. He is also the founder of Licensing4Profits.com, which offers training, coaching and courses on licensing and how to use it to make money with all types of intellectual property.


Paula Muto MD FACS, Founder/CEO UBERDOC & Greater Boston SoPE member

UBERDOC Founder and CEO Paula M. Muto, MD FACS, is a practicing vascular and general surgeon in solo practice and the owner of the Muto Vein Center. She is a member of a family of physicians and surgeons who have collectively practiced medicine in Massachusetts for over 50 years. She is an outspoken advocate for patient care and is passionate about women’s health issues.

Managing Partners, K3 Strategic Development Group

Thomas & Mark are managing partners of K3 Strategic Development Group, an advisory and business services group they co-founded in 2010. Serving as advisors and growth strategists, they specialize in developing and implementing models for early stage companies to capture funding, break into new markets, and expand in a meaningful way. K3 is an advisory group specifically designed to work with early stage companies in 3 areas - Capital aquisition - expanding revenues - exit strategies and execution.

Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE)

The Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE) is a global biomedical and healthcare innovation network with membership open to all healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders. SoPE was founded in 2011 by three physicians who shared a common vision - to empower physicians and other professionals to innovate healthcare through entrepreneurship.

 

SoPE continues to gain momentum with chapters across the United States, Turkey, China and the United Arab Emirates, as well as industry partners who directly support our members' efforts. Members include doctors, nurses, dentists, healthcare entrepreneurs, investors, engineers, academics, IT professionals and industry representatives. What brings them together? Our community members share a common focus - working at the crossroads of innovation and commercialization to make a difference in healthcare.
