Come spend a Sunday afternoon in the country at La Salette Portuguese restaurant in Sonoma where chef Manuel Azevedo will prepare a traditional meal of Sopas (braised beef in a minted broth with cabbage, bread and sweet potato), a traditional food of local Portuguese festas. An appetizer precedes the Sopas followed by a traditional Portuguese dessert. Salon del Vino is hosting this special event at one of the Bay Area's only Portuguese restaurants. The meal is accompanied by a tasting of Portuguese wines from local distributor Vinos Unico. Four Portuguese wines (one sparkling, one white, two reds) will be poured with the meal. Details and notes on all the wines and the food will be available during the lunch.
