About this event

Sons of Paradise is a reggae-rock/dub septet in the midst of an explosive upcoming. Guided by its strongest lineup yet of Matt McClanahan (guitar/vocals), Jordan Gee (keys), Parker Stanley (drums), Tommy Quinn (guitar), Diego Avilez (vocals/keys), Logan Maxweell (bass), & Eli Helms (percussion) the Raleigh-based group has quickly risen to headlining venues throughout the southeast with some of the biggest names in the reggae world.

Conscious of the realities of the socio-political environment around the world they make it a mission to channel their inspirations in favor of equality, freedom, love, and nature through lyrically driven and uniquely melodic originals. Equipped with a good dose of poeticism, their creations turn out spontaneously fresh with a contemporary connection that holds universal value.

Sons of Paradise doesn’t limit its style to strict labels or genres. Although their musical base is “Reggae” you can find strong influences of different styles of Rock and Jazz music, Latin Beats and Ska, as well as a strong presence of Rap lyricism, an undebatable synthesis of the Afro-Caribbean roots they pay homage to. The texture is rich in harmonies and rhythms alas producing a unique blend of sounds that continues to captivate different listeners around the world.

Signal Fire is a group of diverse musicians with a common goal, to spread unity through music. Hailing from the coastal town of Wilmington, North Carolina Signal Fire brings a unique blend of reggae/rock music for the masses. Since their inception in 2013, Signal fire has stayed on the move playing over 150 shows a year sharing the stage with acts such as SOJA, Stephen Marley, Morgan Heritage, UB40, Tribal Seeds, Collie Buddz, Dirty Heads, and more. Signal Fire’s latest release, “Lift Up” debuted at #1 on iTunes and #8 on Billboard reggae charts. Mixed and co produced by Llamar “Riff Raff” Brown (whose credits include Stephen and Damian Marley, Raging Fyah, Richie Spice, and 2016 Grammy Award winners Morgan Heritage), “Lift Up” is a step forward in the evolution of the Signal Fire reggae/rock sound. Through years of grass roots approach, Signal Fire has built a loyal following with their uplifting music and message.

The Destinators are a Reggae & Dub group out of Charleston, SC. This energetic 6 piece ensemble mixes an infectious blend of RnB vocals, soul, and roots to bring forth a reggae sound that is both fresh and unique. Already veterans of the Charleston music scene, The Destinators have been in the recording studio all 2020 producing and recording for their debut album to be released in the near future. Making waves in your scene and dropping tunes, The Destinators vibe is unmistakable.
