Intoducing the first-ever conference event for transgender individuals in the North Bay

TransLife: Builidng Our Community

The transgender community, their loved ones and family are welcome to join us for this inaugural community event! Get information on legal issues, advocacy, and networking opportunities geared specifically for the transgender community, with hands-on resources you can use right away. Representatives from multiple organizations will be on hand with information on social, legal, economic and health services available to you. We've also built in some fun social opportunities to help you get to know your community.

You'll leave with a new appreciation of the diversity and strength of the transgender community and immediate connections to resources and support.

This is an inclusive space for anyone on the transgender spectrum or questioning. This umbrella includes individuals who identify as transgender, genderqueer, gender fluid, or questioning. We welcome you at where you are at in your journey.

Includes lunch. We'll have Spanish interpretation services onsite, too.

Please note: This event is to foster community building within the transgender community. There will be no services for professionals at this conference. Please let us know if you are interested in a professional conference. One may be planned in the near future.

Venga y participe en obtener información sobre asuntos legales/jurídicos, sensibilización y creación de redes orientado específicamente a la comunidad transgénero, con los recursos que se pueden utilizar de inmediato. También, habrá organizaciones representando servicios sociales, legales, económicos y servicios de salud para su disponibilidad. ¡Al final del evento se llevará una apreciación de la diversidad y la fuerza colectiva de la comunidad Transgenero! Al mismo tiempo conocer su conexión, solidaridad y acceso a recursos de la comunidad. Servicios de traducción en español estarán disponibles el día del evento.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

If you would like to park in the public parking garage, continue past the building to the next traffic signal and turn right onto 7th Street. The City of Santa Rosa parking garage is in the middle of the block, on the right. The City charges for parking even on Saturdays.

The rear gate should be open for convenient entry directly from the Seventh Street Garage.

Public Transit

The Glaser Center is in within reach of most city and county bus lines. Exit the downtown transit center at the east end, turn north (left) onto Mendocino Avenue. The center is about 5 blocks up located on the west (left) side of the street.
