Sonoma County Department of Health Services is proud to present Sonoma County Leaders in Action: Prevention and Integration in Oral Health, an inter-professional conference for medical and dental providers, public health professionals, educators, and community representatives.

Objectives

Following this conference, participants will be able to:

  • Increase fluoride varnish application at medical appointments
  • Include oral health in anticipatory guidance with medical patients, including referral to a dental home
  • Accurately identify non-traumatic dental conditions in emergency department visits
  • Advocate for adoption of evidence-based oral health prevention and management to promote health equity

Agenda

Jay Kumar, DDS, MPH, California State Dental Director, provides the keynote address on California’s leadership in advancing community oral health.
