About this event
- 3 hours 30 minutes
- Mobile eTicket
A monthly concert series with legendary San Diego songwriters. Doors are 6:30 & there will be snacks & drinks available. Suggested donation is $10 but feel free to be generous as this is a top tier show featuring award winning songwriters.
Our lineup for March 2023 is Gregory Page, King Taylor Project, & Lauren Leigh.
GREGORY PAGE is an international performing songwriter whose music time travels from the distant past into the imagined future. His new single "The World's Gone Mad" is a song on a mission that launches the listener on a journey exploring the entropy created by our insatiable need for speed. The song struggles to make sense of the nonsense pervading daily life in these confounding times, while racing to the rhythm of the interstellar autobahn.
This single and the new forthcoming album Modern Man as a whole, represent an even more unexpected sharp left turn from an already musically diverse and prolific artist, who now presents us with a texturally rich, sonically curious, and at times darkly humorous transmission of audio possibilities.
KING TAYLOR PROJECT - Silky vocals. Lyrical intent. Soaring guitar over moody keys, swaggering R&B rhythms and rocking drive. King Taylor Project is the multifarious lovechild of married singer-songwriter team Sandi King and Joshua Taylor, and their gleefully unruly band of co-conspirators.
KTP has burned up the road playing hundreds of shows on several independent tours across the U.S. and into Mexico. In addition to their energetic live performances, studio collaborations, and side projects, KTP creates and releases all their original work with the direct support of their fans on Patreon.
LAUREN LEIGH - Winner of Best Pop Song for the San Diego Music Awards 2022 & nominated for 2 SDMAS in 2023, Lauren Leigh has been one of the most-hired vocalists in Southern California in the last decade. You can often catch her live with local tribute acts Pink Froyd and as a guest artist for Back to the Garden. Most recently, she has been added to the cast of Six Strings Society’s 27 Club in the role of Janis Joplin, and is celebrating the release of her sophomore album, “Ghost In The Picture”.
NOTE ON TICKET DONATIONS
We are suggesting a $10 donation per person, but we want you to come to the show regardless of what you can afford to pay! For this reason, you may bring up to 10 people per donation, no matter the amount you give.
