Event description

Description

SongsfortheStrongConcert

Join us for an evening of incredible music by renowned musicians Dave Nachmanoff and Radim Zenkl.

Dave Nachmanoff has toured the world both on his own, and as the guitarist and opening act for Al Stewart ("Year of the Cat", "Time Passages"), at venues as far ranging as the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, to The Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia. From performing with folk legend Libba Cotten at the age of 9, to playing in a rock band with his two brothers, Dave went on to earn a PhD in Philosophy at UC Davis and slowly built a grassroots following touring all over the world.

Radim Zenkl is a mandolin player, composer and instructor. Radim's style features progressive original and eastern European traditional music flavored with string jazz, new age, bluegrass, flamenco, rock, classical and other. The US Mandolin Champion is redefining the mandolin and its role in music by designing new mandolin-family instruments and creating new playing styles. He has invented a masterful technique, the "Zenkl style," in which a single mandolin sounds like two.

Concert proceeds will benefit Magalia Community Church and Spring Valley School in Concow.
