WHAT ARE COMMUNITY SCREENINGS? Community screenings are an emerging film distribution model that differs from theatrical and home screening in that the nature of these screenings fosters the discussion of the issues and bonding of local community members. These screenings take place in public venues with attendance between 25 and 300 people and provide incremental revenue for the filmmakers. These screenings also serve to amplify social media efforts and further the word of mouth on the film.
