Saturday Afternoon Restorative Workshops
Working from the inside out, we begin with Hanna Somatic movement sequences to 'wake up' the brain's response to tight muscles. Through these re-patterning sequences we can begin to release chronic tension, and faulty movement patterns, and prepare the body and mind for deeper relaxation.
A series of restorative yoga postures then follows, where you will propped up, supported and nurtured for an extended period of time. Essential oils, specifically chosen to calm and balance the nervous system will help you unwind further and find a strengthened body-mind connection.
The last part of the session is for meditation using the breath and mantras, and uplifting kirtan meditation with music. We always finish with tea and cake!
These workshops are perfect if you are feeling weak, tired, stressed or recovering from injury, but also just as an opportunity to rest and re-charge. Teachers are welcome to attend and receive 3 hours towards CPD.
