Event description

Description

Can the homelessness problem in OC be solved in the next 5 years?

Homelessness in Orange County and Southern California in general has grown to crisis proportions. A recent study by UCI found that providing supportive housing is the most cost effective solution to the crisis, costing less than half of leaving the homeless on the street after accounting for demands on emergency personnel and the healthcare system.

Come to the Porter Room at UCI Paul Merage School of Business to hear the latest thinking on the issue as we pair up with three panelists to share their findings:

  • Becks Heyhoe - Senior Manager, United To End Homelessness for Orange County United Way
  • Arlis Reynolds - Council Member, City of Costa Mesa - City Official with Successful Supportive Housing Plan in Costa Mesa
  • Kyle Paine - President, Community Development Partners - Supportive Housing Builder in Newport Beach/OC

We look forward to having you join us for this informative, and timely event!
