Description

Solving Air Volume Problems - Prokup Media Technical Service Training

Orlando FL, November 28th 2017

Training Objective

In this program, HVAC Technicians learn how to correct low indoor air volume problems and learn how to identify causes of low air volume in zones. This is a very important skill as charging with subcooling or superheat cannot be accomplished if the indoor air volume is not properly adjusted.

Upon completion of the course, technicians should be able to measure indoor air volume using external static pressure measurement or heat rise method, identify causes of improper air volume and make necessary corrections, and identify and correct causes of poor air volume delivery to registers. Manual D method of duct design will be introduced in this program along with the proper use of a duct calculator.

Seminar Outline

Air volume requirements for HVAC Equipment (Understanding Air Volume Tables)
External Static Pressure
Measuring External Static Pressure
PSC Fan Performance and External Static Pressure
Elements that cause changes in External Static Pressure
Changing External Static Pressure and Fan Laws
