Quinn is passionate about supporting the acupuncture profession and empowering practitioners to achieve clinical success in a rapidly changing world. His dynamic and engaging teaching methods create a fun and memorable learning experience.

Over the past 18 years, Dr. Takei has been the founder and director of several thriving multi-disciplinary practices. His patient care philosophy integrates functional medicine, nutrition and life coaching with acupuncture and herbal therapies. Enthusiastic to promote natural medicine, Quinn has served as the president, vice president, and on the board of directors for the Oriental Medicine Association of New Mexico and is an active member of his state association.

Quinn is the author of The Clinical Reference Guide of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine” and “Insights for a Life in Balance”. He is currently working on his next book, “Meditation: The Practice of Being Present”.

As a 101% practitioner, 200% father and husband, 42% teacher, 30% story teller, 58% adventurer and traveler, 28% author, 27% musician, and 100% devoted to promoting natural health, Quinn doesn’t have time to understand how percentages work.

We are sicker than ever before. Today’s food, toxins, and our hectic lives have thrust us into the “modern day health epidemic”. This insidious multi-system dysfunction is the root cause of most modern pathology manifesting as leaky gut syndrome, inflammation, food and environmental allergies, fibromyalgia, metabolic disorders, multiple chemical sensitivities, SIBO, IBS, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, adrenal exhaustion, and autoimmune diseases.

By participating in this class, you will understand:

• The dietary, industrial, environmental, and emotional factors that have caused the “modern day health epidemic” and how this has become the root cause of most pathology seen in clinical practice today.
• The integrative approach of Eastern, Western, and functional medicine necessary to effectively address this epidemic.
• The laboratory tests that provide the most critical diagnostic information required to move your clients from the cycle of illness and to the process of healing.
• How to detect some of the most elusive and difficult to decipher imbalances that escape most diagnostic systems.
• The comprehensive treatment of the “modern day health epidemic” including traditional acupuncture points, Chinese herbs, supplements, diet and nutrition, and lifestyle counseling.

Here is what past participants had to say...

“Thank you for a fun, provocative, practical and highly informational workshop last weekend in Albuquerque. You are truly an inspiration. Your workshop has already helped me to implement moving my practice to another level. You have helped me to incorporate my biomedical background better into the world of Oriental Medicine within my own practice".” – Dr. Yvonne W.

“Thank you! This was one of the most informative classes that I've ever been a part of. You're awesome!” - Eric P.

“You are the best, thank you so much. Really great info.” - Coreen L.

“Phenomenal, I have never had a better class on this topic!” - Michael C.

”Dr. Takei was an excellent instructor and very knowledgeable. This course met all its objectives, was very informative and taught me a lot more about food allergies. I would recommend this class to other licensed acupuncturists. I am very happy with the content and will definitely use what I have learned since nutrition plays a huge role in my practice.” - Anna G

“Dr. Takei freely shared his in-depth knowledge of the course with the intention to deliver as much information as possible. He gave me lots of good, applicable strategies for my practice. This course was visual, well written and organized with lots of humor and some really good gems. I would recommend this course to other licensed acupuncturists. I look forward to more seminars by Quinn Takei.” - Dawn P.

“I very much enjoyed this class and Dr. Takei’s easy manner and sense of humor. The handouts made it much easier to learn as I could focus on what Quinn was saying instead of madly writing notes and missing all kinds of information. Overall the class was very helpful as the herb-food-drug interactions portion was a large hole in my knowledge. I’ll now be able to do a much better job helping my patients. I would recommend this course to other licensed acupuncturists.” - Susan T.

“Dr. Takei demonstrated a broad spectrum of knowledge that gets back to treating the root. He used great teaching methods and I will use what I have learned in my practice. I would recommend this course to other licensed acupuncturists as well Naturopaths, MD’s, NP’s, and PA’s.” - Andrea G.

“The course was very informative and the power point presentation and handouts were excellent. I love that Quinn has such a passion for our medicine.” - Lora S.

“This course was appropriate, timely and focused. It has taken directions I am already in and expanded it immensely! I am very grateful for the huge quantity of highly practical information which was organized in an exquisitely beautiful communication package. Dr. Takei has taken this medicine and has applied it with modern insight, incorporating appropriate new western techniques.” - Yvonne T.

“This course very informative, helpful and was well organized.” - Carl W.

“The slide presentation was excellent!” - Isabella K.

“Quinn is an excellent presenter. His information is helpful and appears to be well researched, the slides and handouts were great and he’s delightful and funny!” - Lily B.
