Event description

Description

Starting January 11, 2018, through March 8, 2018.

This is an advanced level program to continue your progressive learning pathway and master your skills learned in our Introductory course. In this course students will apply all that they learned to start building their own project from scratch, acquiring with the practice, new skills, and electronics knowledge.

Soldering is one of the most fundamental skills needed to dabble in the world of electronics. The two go together like peas and carrots. We believe that that soldering and electronics should be a skill in everyone’s arsenal.

In a world of increasing technological surroundings, we believe it is important that students be able to not only understand the technologies they use every day but also be able to build, alter, and fix them as well. Soldering and Electronics is one of many skills that will empower them to do just that.

Classes will be taught combining theory and practice, using the soldering iron station in DIY electronics projects. Students can take home their projects and share what they learned with parents (not all classes include a take home project)

At the end of this introductory level, we expected that students acquire the basics skills and knowledge that allow them to jump to the next step in this passionate field of Electronics and Circuits. They will be able to respond questions like:

What is Electricity

What is a Circuit

What means Voltage, Current, Resistance, and Ohm’s Law

How to Use a Breadboard

How to solder (basic skills)
