About this event
Mark your calendar for Sunday, March 27th to celebrate The Front Yard Spring Beer & Wine Block Party!
Join us for a spring block party that's anything but garden variety. We'll have live music by the The Stereo Set, a pop-up shopping soiree, gourmet samplings and the best beer and wine tastings California has to offer. The best part? You'll be helping us give back to The Village Family Services, a local leader in providing trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services to children, homeless youth and families so that they can lead safe, healthy and productive lives.
Tickets are available at the door for $45 per adult.
Proceeds to benefit The Village Family Services
The Village was established to meet an urgent need. In 1997, its co-founders, Hugo C. Villa, LMFT, and Irma Seilicovich, LMFT, recognized the lack of critical bilingual, bicultural social services for Latino children and families, particularly in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles County. Together, they founded The Village Family Services to fill the gap in services for the area’s most vulnerable and underserved residents.
Through the years, The Village has advanced and expanded its operations to include a full spectrum of trauma-informed programs and services, including vital support for homeless youth and those who identify as LGBTQ. In addition to its unwavering efforts to end youth homelessness, The Village delivers evidenced-based behavioral health services to children, youth and adults, and has long been at the forefront of culturally sensitive foster care and adoption services.
Today, The Village is a leader in the field, welcoming clients at three separate locations composed of more than 25,000 square feet of program space. Among its many accolades, The Village has received the Human Rights Campaign’s All Children–All Families seal recognizing cultural competence in working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) youth and families, and was named 2020 Nonprofit of the Year for the 39th District by Assemblymember Luz Rivas.
The Village is accredited by the International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its Adoptions, Foster Care, Mental Health, Wraparound, and Drop-In Center services.
