This midday mini-concert & instrument demonstration will be performed by organist and harpsichordist Carolyn Day Skelton and organist John Skelton. Audience members are invited to join Carolyn and John in the special exhibition, Voicing the Woods: Jeremy Adams, Instrument Maker, on view at the Cape Ann Museum from October 22, 2016 through February 26, 2017, for an intimate musical experience.
Both musicians are equally comfortable in religious or academic venues and are know for their solo and duo performances throughout New England. Carolyn has served as the summer organist at Emmanuel Church in Manchester-by-the-Sea since 1984 and received her Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory. John also began his career at the New England Conservatory and has served as music director at the Maple Street Church in danvers for 28 years. He is a Trustee of the fmaous Methuen Memorial Music Hall organ and is chairman of the program committee for the internationally renowned organ recital series there.
This program is free for CAM members or with Museum admission paid upon arrival. Space is limited; reservations required.
