Internationally renowned George Kilby, Jr., and Phil Wiggins perform an original program of blues & jazz telling the story of "Racism, Reconciliation, and The Blues" - a history of music in America.
Kilby was a guitarist for 20 years with the legendary Pinetop Perkins of Muddy Waters fame. Wiggins, a blues harmonica player, performed for 32 years with guitarist/singer John Cephas, both internationally renowned stars of country blues. Wiggins is ranked among the world’s top harmonica players in polls by Living Blues magazine.
Opening act: Thompson Valley Singers high school choir, with interactive presentation.
