John von Neumann Award 2019
The Assembly of Rajk College has elected Susan Athey as the 2019 recipient of the John von Neumann Award. We cordially invite you to the John von Neumann Award Ceremony and the open lecture titled “Digitization and the Economy”, held by the awardee on November 18th, 6pm. (Note that the lecture will be held in English.) Due to the limited number of seats, prior registration is required.


About Susan Athey
Susan Athey is Economics of Technology Professor at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She also works as a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She is Founding Director of the Shared Prosperity and Innovation Initiative, and Associate Director of the Stanford Human Centered Artificial Intelligence Institute. Her current field of research is online marketing and auctions, and the combined application of machine learning and econometric methods. In 2007 she was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal.


About the John von Neumann Award
The John von Neumann Award, named after John von Neumann, is given annually by Rajk College for Advanced Studies to an outstanding scholar in economics and other social sciences, whose works have had substantial influence over a long period of time on the studies and intellectual activity of the students of the college.

The lecture is organized by Rajk College for Advanced Studies.
