Event description
#LatinaEqualPayDay - November 20, 2019

About this Event

Did you know that Latinas are among the most adversely affected by gender pay gap? They are paid “53 cents for every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men”. (latinaequalpayday.org)

Join Sprout Social and The Latinista Chicago on November 20th as we recognize Latina Equal Pay Day. We will be hosting a panel discussion to create awareness while advocating and influencing our community to take action as champions of gender parity - not only for Latina Equal Pay, but for ALL women.

This discussion will feature public and private leaders from Chicago. You will have the opportunity to learn why it's important to close the gender pay gap and ways in which you can help. This is a national campaign our committee is actively working to support, alongside national partners like Adidas, Lyft, P&G, Reebok among others and alliances with Ladies Get Paid , Lean In Women of Color and Lean In Illinois.

Speakers:

Moderator: Michelle Bess, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director at Sprout Social

Panelist: Joan K. Chow, CMO at the Greater Chicago Food Depository

Panelist: Ozzie Godinez,CEO at PACO Collective
