Save the date for the next #SolarChat, April 10th, when we will be discussing Social Media & Solar: Best Practices, Ideas, Innovation.

#SolarChat founder and EcoOutfitters.net president Raina Russo (@EcoOutfitters) will be joined by Ashley Seashore (@1bog), director of communications at One Block Off the Grid; Leah Segedie (@BookieBoo), professional blogger, crowdsourcer, and marketer; and Rachel Simmons (@Brightergy), PR manager for Kansas City-based clean-energy company, Brightergy.

At One Block Off the Grid, Ashley Seashore oversees media strategy, social media, internal communications, and content development. Previously, she helped develop social media analytics and practices used to identify key media targets for consumer brands. Once upon a time, she also co-founded a blog that went on to publication.

In addition to being a reknown blogger, crowdsourcer, and marketer, Leah Segedie is an outspoken food activist and lover of fitness and health who has recently expanded into greener themes such as sustainable living, renewable energy, and natural medicines. She’s been working online since 2007 after she lost over 100 lbs. and started up her own social networking site to connect moms who wanted to live healthier. As a fitness matriarch, she organizes and leads the Mamavation campaign, which is an obesity prevention campaign for families championed by moms. Mamavation is now one of the best branded fitness campaigns in social media having over 250,000 related tweets since 2009.

Rachel Simmons is the PR manager for Kansas City-based clean-energy company, Brightergy. A Rhodes College alum, she is passionate about storytelling and the role it has to play in modern business and marketing.

For those new to Twitter, a hashtag (#) is an easy way to find and follow people who are tweeting about a certain topic. #SolarChat, founded by EcoOutfitters.net's Raina Russo, has a simple mission: Curious consumers, energy experts, and installation professionals can tune into Twitter at the designated chat time to share advice and resources, weigh in on discussion topics, pose questions or concerns, and work together to advance solar awareness.

#SolarChat is held on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 2:00-3:00 p.m. EST, with special sessions held periodically. See EcoOutfitters.net for more information.
