SoLAR Flare UK
Date and time
Description
THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITLING LIST PLEASE USE THE "ADD TO WAITLIST" LINK AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.
This is the first UK gathering dedicated to the exploding field of Learning Analytics. Under the auspices of SoLAR (Society for Learning Analytics Research) and sponsored by The Open University & JISC CETIS, this inaugural UK Flare invites you to learn what’s going in the UK and forge valuable new connections.
SoLAR defines learning analytics as "the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of data about learners and their contexts, for purposes of understanding and optimizing learning and the environments in which it occurs."
Part of SoLAR’s mission is to improve the quality of dialogue within and across the many stakeholders impacted by Learning Analytics. We therefore invite technology specialists, researchers, educators, ICT purchasing decision-makers, senior leaders, business intelligence analysts, policy makers, funders, students, and companies to join us in Milton Keynes for this inaugural event.
We’ve designed the day to maximise social learning including:
- plenty of opportunity to meet with peers and explore collaboration possibilities
- the chance to hear — and share — lightning updates on what’s happening
- the opportunity to shape future Flares
For those who can’t make it in person, some of the sessions will be live-streamed and replayable — but really, this is an event to join face to face if at all possible, since we’re gathering to form a new national community and build relationships through informal discussions.
Numbers are limted so book early.
We look forward to seeing you!
