Description

Looking for an amazing country camping spot in the Path of Totality for the Solar Eclipse?

The Salt Creek Cider House is located directly in the Path of Totality near Dallas, Oregon and offering 50 rustic camping spots on The Hill. The Hill is ten acres of sloped open field up above the Salt Creek Cider House. If you enjoy nature, you will love it up here. The Hill is on a north-facing slope overlooking the Willamette Valley and elevates your ability to see many things like birds, stars and the Solar Eclipse! While the Willamette Valley and coast are often foggy in the morning The Hill is generally above the clouds, giving you one of the best views in the area.

Salt Creek Cider House is offering an early bird special for 50 rustic camping spots on The Hill from noon Friday August 18th, 2017 through noon Tuesday August 22, 2017. Each camping spot is booked for all four nights, so come for one night or stay for all four! The Upper Hill is $200. There are 20 sites available and its prime viewing area and best for an RV (sorry no hook-ups.)

The Lower Hill is $150 and has 20 sites available. It’s at the bottom of the slope, but still high with big sky views and access to trees for some shade.

The Creek is $100, not good views, but amazing for shade as it’s nestled among a grove of large old oak trees. Creek campers we will have a designated Solar Eclipse viewing area for you!

We want to keep this experience as intimate as possible and family friendly. Each camping spot has a maximum capacity of six people, including children please. Some spots can accommodate two cars, some cannot, but we will have over flow parking. Sorry guys no fires or charcoal grills allowed due to fire protection rules in the area during this time. We will offer port-a-potties and a sink. Potable water stations are available, but no showers. We will allow pets, but must remain on a leash please. Alcohol is allowed for 21 and older. Quiet time will be at 10 pm. All unruly guest will be asked to leave, no refunds.

At this time we don't have plans for food service or live music, but we will look into it and other activities. The Salt Creek Cider House is a start-up and slated to open this fall!! It is uncertain we will have approved permits to serve cider at this event. However, all proceeds will go towards funding the Salt Creek Cider House and planting the entire hill in cider trees!

The Hill at Salt Creek Cider House is magical. If you're looking to get out of town, camp and connect with nature in the Path of Totality for the Solar Eclipse, look no further! Thank you and cheers!
