Event Details

Austin City Council is charging forward with a plan to establish an appointed independent board to govern Austin Energy.  This change could have a profound impact on how citizens are able to influence the direction that our public utility takes in regards to many important issues, including investment in local solar programs and the value-of-solar rate.

This change is moving forward quickly and without the proper analysis to determine what is best for our city.

Solar Austin has assembled a panel of speakers to share their perspectives on the issue, including representatives from San Antonio experienced significant changes after CPS transitioned to a similar independent board governance structure.

This major change could be decided in the next couple of weeks.

Please join us at 6:30pm at the Spider House Ballroom to learn more and share your views.  The program will begin at 7pm.
