Colorado State University Extension in El Paso County is offering single-day courses for landscape professionals and home gardeners.These in-depth research-based classes are taught by CSU Extension faculty.
Soils, Fertilizers and Soil Amendments for Home Landscapes and Gardens will address poor soil conditions that effect root development and plant health. Topics covered include: characteristics and management practices of various soil types - clayey, sandy, rocky (texture, structure, poor space, and tilth), micro-organisms in the soil, soil compaction, soil amendments, selecting mulch and appropriate fertilizers.
CSU Extension, 17 N. Spruce St (west of I‑25 at Bijou exit).
