About this event

This zoom webinar will provide suggestions on how to build organic matter and fertility in garden and landscape soils. Florida soil is sandy, and most plants benefit from some soil amendments. The zoom will be shared from our hybrid classroom and we will cover composting, worm composting, leaf recycling, grass recycling, and plants you can grow that contain high amounts of nitrogen and other nutrients to build your soil. We will also discuss mineral amendments like rockdust that provides nutrients that may be lacking in some soils and for some crops. This class will be taught by Tia Silvasy, Extension Agent in Orange County, FL along with Mark and Christian Robinson of Revival Gardening.

$5.00 per individual. Pre-Registration is required along with the non-refundable class fee.

Presented by Tia Silvasy, Orange County Florida-Friendly Landscaping Agent.
