Soggy Bottom Boat Race: A Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Connect Clas...
Sat, April 1, 2017, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM CDT
The first-ever Soggy Bottom Boat Race, organized by the Connect 19 class to benefit the Manna House, is a cardboard boat race across the lake at UAH. The entire 1, 2, or 3+ person boats must be constructed entirely from cardboard. You can decorate your boat with things that do not affect the structural integrity or buoyancy of the boat. (See the guidelines for more details.) All proceeds from the Soggy Bottom Boat Race will go to the Manna House. Diaper donations of all sizes are welcome at this event and you can pick up FREE cardboard to make your boat from the Manna House M, W, and Thur from 2 to 7 pm.
We hope you'll put together creative minds for a good cause and a great time! There will be snacks on site as well as awards for fastest time, best design, best team spirit, most dramatic sinking, and people's choice.
