Ottobock Canada is please to invite you to a one day course focused on Socket Technologies. Gain understanding and knowledge of liner materials and suspension methods, casting methods, and vacuum systems.

About the Speakers:

Kai Bussiek, CPO

Kai is a German CPO. Starting his career as a medical student, he soon realized that this was not his passion and shifted gears to begin a career as a CPO, graduating with a masters in 1998. Kai worked at various workshops, recognizing his interest in prosthetic sockets before joining Ottobock in 1998. Soon after joining Ottobock, Kai specialised in socket technologies and joined the socket technologies team in 2004. Since then, he has been an integral part of the international R&D team, is an international trainer and is responsible for all liners produced in Germany.

Michael Pearce, C.P. (c)

Originally from the United Kingdom, Michael gained his certification in Prosthetics in 1994 after spending four years in a craft apprenticeship program in limb manufacture and repair at J.E. Hanger Co. Ltd in    Roehampton, London, England. After four years of clinical experience, Michael moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1998 to complete his prosthetic internship. He then moved to London, Ontario where he continued to practice clinically for four more years, before joining Ottobock in the summer of 2005.
