Virtual Family Game Night

About this Event

While the Lincoln family didn't use computers or the internet to connect, they did enjoy spending time together at the Cottage playing games.

Join President Lincoln's Cottage and Game Genius for our 2nd virtual community game night to play together in creative ways! Be ready on Tuesday, March 24th at 7 pm EST with your imagination and these items: a cup, 2 coins, 2 pens, and a book. Together, we'll turn these Lincoln-related objects into games that spark brave ideas.

Note: This program is suitable for children 5 years old and older.

President Lincoln's Cottage is pleased to partner with Game Genius to offer this virtual program to further our mission while we are closed to the public.

Program logistics:

By 3/24, we will send you an email with a link to join the videoconference via Zoom. Click the link to join the meeting. You may be prompted to download Zoom, which will take just a few moments to complete.

You will need a computer with a decent internet connection, equipped with a webcam and a microphone. Most laptops come with a camera and microphone built in. You can test your audio and video settings ahead of time if you would like.

About the Facilitator:

Peter Williamson is a professional golfer turned creative philanthropist who started a non-digital game agency called Game Genius. The company focuses on designing custom play experiences to empower individuals and teams in the Greater Washington DC region. From tabletop game products to social gatherings, Peter is passionate about making what you do and care about more fun.
