Social Media for Emerging Brands: DIY Tips for Big Results
So you've decided to mass produce your product--but how do you drive demand? Today, new social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and other digital channels allow smart emerging brands to gain awareness and market share quickly and drive sales for their products. But implementing a smart digital strategy can be daunting. Between industry vernacular and combing through analytics reports, marketing consultants are more likely to overwhelm than deliver results.
Join Rick Kanter, Managing Director of local lifestyle e-commerce site barrio.la and co-founder of digital strategy firm barrio partners, as he demystifies today's digital trends and breaks down in simple terms how to plan and execute your digital strategy. Rick will present a basic list of tips, complemented by a resource site available after the session, which will help you feel confident about maximizing your social media potential.

The Speaker: Rick Kanter
Rick Kanter and his sister Jen Kanter co-founded the LA-focused e-commerce and lifestyle brand barrio.la in early 2016. In tandem, they developed the digital strategy company barrio partners, LLC –both companies working hand-in-hand with one goal: helping local small businesses reach their full potential, through collaborative promotion and effective digital marketing. barrio.la promotes companies making high-quality and eco-friendly goods in L.A., while barrio partners provides strategic, digital strategy and support for local, independent businesses. Rick spent more than a decade doing executive level marketing, operational, and sales functions for Scripps Networks Interactive (HGTV, FN, Travel, et al) – negotiating multi-faceted new business deals while serving as a lead on several large-scale distribution projects. In 2015, both Jen (an executive at AMC Networks) and Rick decided they wanted to start a business focused on promoting their local community and subsequently left their jobs to start both barrio.la & barrio partners.
