Event description

Description

This social media workshop is an introduction to managing social media for your community garden project with Caroline Sutton supported by Sarah Davenport. Caroline has over 30 years working in the media as national newspaper journalist, web producer and a social media trainer. She is the communications officer for BHFP and has worked with a range of charities, small businesses and organisations advising on their social media strategy, press and media and blog-writing. Sarah is a community garden volunteer, Food Partnership support worker and freelance online marketer with experience in communicating ecological messages.

We will customise the topics covered depending on the groups level of experience but expect topics such as:

An introduction- why use social media?
Who is your audience and how do you tell them your story?
Which ‘channels’ should I use? (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram)
