Social Media for Nonprofits: Using Social Media to Meet Company Goals

Working for a nonprofit comes with the joy of giving back to the community, and while the cause may be awesome, the obstacles are unique. Smaller departments and budgets mean making the most you can with what you have. Social Media may be on the bottom of someone's list of daily tasks, but by using strategies that align what you do on social media with what you want to do as an organization, you can make social media work for you.
Join us for the second event in our workshop series. We'll be exploring the much requested topic of "Social Media for Nonprofits" with two experts in the field. A more intimate format, and smaller audience, will allow for a more interactive experience with our panelists, and more networking with other like-minded professionals. Tickets include lunch, and participants should come prepared with questions specific to the topic.

Emily M. Cote, is a consummate professional with a diverse skillset derived from years of hands-on marketing experience. Her background in online marketing and search engine optimization give her a well-educated view of the online marketing landscape. She has experience overseeing corporate social media accounts and designing effective, comprehensive social media marketing strategies. She also has proven success in driving sales and increasing profits using multi-channel marketing approaches that integrate both online and traditional media. In her current role, she oversees all marketing and communications initiatives, fostering teamwork and supporting the goals of CEO’s many programs.

Since Matt joined Ellis in June 2012, Ellis has grown its Facebook “likes” by more than 400%, initiated four blogs promoting health tips and its services and hosted nine online “Web Health Chats,” which connects the area’s leading health experts with the community on various health topics.
Matt received his MBA with a concentration in Health Care Administration from Marist College in 2013 and his B.S. from Syracuse University in 2008. He is on the board of directors for the Capital Region chapter of Public Relations Society of America and is actively involved with the Central New York chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
