Event description

Description

With such a focus on our web presence and social media, how sure are you that you have permission to use or share photos, videos, or other items?

When you grab a picture off the web, do you need to ask permission to use it or does 'fair use' apply?

If someone says that you're using a photo or video without their permission, and that you're infringing on their copyright, would you know what to do?

During this workshop, you'll be able to ask our panel questions about copyright, fair use, right of publicity, publicity rights, defamation, and instances to seek legal advice for.

It's a chance for you to learn how to reduce the chances of getting trouble on the web or social media, with our panel:

Scott Malouf, an attorney helping attorneys use social media as evidence and helping businesses minimize social media risk.

Alana Fuierer, partner at Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti, PC with a focus on Intellectual Property Law.

We'll also show you some of the new digital tools that are out there that can enhance your coverage along with your web and social media presence.

Coffee, juice, water, and dounts will be available.
